What’s the state of play in the UK as we approach lunchtime? Well, bleak, I’m afraid.
Actually it’s even more bleak than usual, as ShopTo has removed its listings now so you can’t place a back order with that retailer.
That means you’re only option right now is to place a pre-order with ebuyer for when that retailer gets more stock in at the very end of July…

There’s still nothing in the way of new Switch 2 units at this time, neither in the US nor the UK. Disappointing, I know. But that makes now the perfect time to read up on our Nintendo Switch 2 coverage if you missed any of it.

After another sweep, there still hasn’t been any movement on Nintendo Switch 2 stock unfortunately. You can of course still order all kinds of games and accessories, which is a good way to get your setup piece by piece if you don’t already have a console.
Stock check – is Newegg finally getting in the game?
Hello again everyone, Marcus Mears III here for more updates on the Switch 2 stock situation.
It doesn’t look like there are any units available in the UK at this time, though I’m keeping my eyes glued to the retailers on this list.
In the US, it seems the only units available are from scalpers and resellers at ridiculous prices. Tempting as it may be if you haven’t been able to get your own console yet, waiting is the best play in my opinion. Restocks are coming, and rewarding these scalpers is pretty damn far down on my to-do list.
It appears Newegg may be looking to get into the game (finally) as there’s now an “auto-notify” feature and an MSRP attached to the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle. There doesn’t appear to be any stock yet, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.

A reminder!
Having completed another stock sweep and retailer check (which is now something I do many times every day by default, now), I’ve just seen something that always gets me annoyed – scalper prices.
Wherever you are in the world, please, for the love of heck, don’t give in to these inflated prices we’re seeing at the likes of Amazon and Walmart, etc.
This only feeds the cycle, and as we’ve seen, there is always another restock happening at some point!
US folk will have to try stores
Given Walmart’s gone dry and Antonline has as well now, it looks like the best bet for US shoppers is to try any local stores that you can easily make it to.
It looks like Target may have some in-store stock depending on your location, and Best Buy and GameStop are worth a look, with the latter actively pushing folks toward finding a store to try stock on the online listing pages.
Games are available too!
And if you’re on the hunt for games instead of accessories, then there are a bunch of titles available to order and get into your library right now.
From Mario Kart World itself, to beautifully remastered ports of some amazing Zelda games, there’s a decent range on offer in the UK. Below are some of our favorites.

While it’s bleak on the console stock front in the UK, the Switch 2 accessories are readily available. We really like the look of the Switch 2 Pro Controller from our early testing (review coming soon), and the camera looks like a top Switch 2 companion as well.
What’s happening in the UK?
Sadly, in the UK, no such bombastic or fulsome restock has happened for a little while, and certainly not this week.
You can still place back orders or pre-orders for stock at ShopTo and ebuyer, respectively, but you’ll be waiting a while for them to arrive with you.
Antonline out or in stock?
Hmm, weird. That Antonline bundle is playing up for me now.
Where I once had it in my basket as normal, the listing now says it is unavailable when you click on it – despite allowing me to keep it in my basket and progress…

The US actually had stock!
Yesterday, we saw the US finally getting Switch 2 restock action in what felt like the first time in weeks and weeks!
Both Walmart and Antonline had a bunch of stock available for folks to buy, and in even greater news for any US night owls tracking stock with us right now, there’s still some availability!

Hello Switch 2 restock hunters! We go once more unto the breach, after an exciting day yesterday in the US…..
We’re nearing the midnight hour here on the east coast of the United States, and with stock nearly gone at Walmart, we’re going to sign off for now. However, fear not; links for other retailers are available above, and for Walmart below, in case you’d like to try your luck.
Upon a quick refresh, I am still seeing the option to “add to cart” for the bundle of the Switch 2, but your experience may vary.
And my colleagues in the UK will be back in just a few hours to cover TechRadar’s live reporting of the Nintendo Switch 2 restock.
At over an hour since this restock began for non-Walmart+ members, I am now seeing no more availability for the standard Switch 2 and “99% claimed” for the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle. Of course, this might fluctuate, but it’s clear that Walmart’s restock supply is running dry.
Still, it’s worth a refresh to see if you can add the console to your cart.
Seeing 99% sold for the Switch 2 at Walmart
Just minutes later, and as we expected since Walmart+ members had first access, I am now seeing 99% for both consoles. I also saw the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World listed as out of stock, but that might be due to the current load on Walmart’s site.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some TechRadar readers will be able to secure the Switch 2 with this restock, though.
Jacob Krol here to carry us through, and while I don’t have a Walmart+ membership, I am seeing some availability for the Switch 2 and the bundle with Mario Kart World at the retailer. However, it may take a few tries on the refresh button to get through.
Once it does load, I am seeing 99% of this deal is gone for just the console, and 98% is gone for the bundle. I’m wishing you all the best of luck!
Aaaand it’s gone
There it goes: no more Nintendo Switch 2 systems available at Walmart for now. There are still a few bundles left to grab, so if you’re hoping for a Switch 2, that’s your best bet right now.
Quick stock update at 10pm ET: Nintendo Switch 2 standalone systems are almost entirely sold out, and there’s still a decent amount of stock for the Mario Kart World Bundle.
Again, if you don’t have a Walmart+ membership, now’s your chance to jump in. I highly doubt we’ll see this stock stick around much longer.
5 minutes until everyone can jump in
There’s just under five minutes until the flood gates open to everyone regardless of Walmart+ status. I wouldn’t be surprised if all stock is gone within 20 minutes once that happens.
After a stock check from my colleague Jacob Krol, it looks like there are quite a few more units for the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle than there is for the standalone system.
You still have some time to grab a Walmart+ free trial and secure a Switch 2!
I just spoke with my colleague Jacob Krol, and as we expected, it really pays to be a Walmart+ member as we’re already seeing it down to 99% of this deal is gone at 32 minutes after it went up. He’s also let me know that Walmart is a bit too slow and as a non plus member, the odds are slim.
Walmart’s initial Switch 2 restock is already “99% gone”
After just over thirty minutes, 99% of tonight’s Switch 2 restock at Walmart is already gone. I’m not the slightest bit surprised. It’s possible we see another wave of restocks around 10pm ET for non-Walmart+ members, so stick around.
Get in fast!
I’m now able to add a Switch 2 bundle to my cart – but only for the next 10 or so minutes. Get in now while there’s still stock left!
Once you secure your spot in line, you’ll have 10 minutes to add the Switch 2 to your cart. It looks like there’s a wait period right now of about 30 minutes once you click “Hold my spot in line and keep shopping.”

From “out of stock” to “Hold my spot and keep shopping,” the Switch 2 is back in stock at Walmart. This is not a drill. Get in line while you still can!

Walmart is the big player tonight, as we expect restocks to go live at 9:00pm ET for Walmart+ members, and 10:00pm ET for non-members.
It’s worth noting that if you don’t already have a Walmart+ membership, you can get a free trial for 30 days.

One Switch 2 bundle left at Antonline!
As expected, all but one Switch 2 bundle remains in stock at Antonline. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Digital Bundle is still available for $664.95, and we predict this won’t last in the coming hours, so get it while you can!
The countdown is on at Walmart
There’s a countdown now on Walmart’s site for its Switch 2 restock at 9 PM ET. Remember, you must be a Walmart Plus member to shop during the restock at 9 PM. Everyone else can shop at 10 PM if Switch 2 stock is still available.
A Walmart Plus membership is free for 30 days, and after that, an annual plan is $98 or $12.95 a month. Walmart Plus perks include free shipping with no minimum order, a free Paramount+ subscription, discounts on gas, and early access to sales.
Three bundles left at Antonline!
While it’s been hours since Antonline’s Switch 2 restock, the retailer still has three bundles available. I don’t expect these bundles to be in stock tomorrow, so you should take advantage now or wait for Walmart’s drop at 9 PM ET.
If you don’t want a Switch 2 bundle…
While we’re thrilled to see Switch 2 restock at Antonline, only bundles are available. If you’re looking to buy the console strictly, Walmart has a restock scheduled for 9 PM ET tonight.
The catch is that only Walmart Plus members can shop at 9 PM ET, and everyone will be able to shop at 10 PM ET – if there is still stock available.
If you aren’t already a member, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial and enjoy free grocery delivery, free shipping with no order minimum, gas discounts, and early access to sales events.

We’re about 30 minutes away from the Switch 2 restock at Antonline. We don’t know if the restock will include bundles or just the console, but I do have some tips to help you secure your Switch 2 console as soon as the restocks are live.

HUGE news – Antonline restock happening TODAY
In excellent news, Antonline has confirmed with us that a Nintendo Switch 2 restock is happening at 1.30pm ET today!
We don’t know exactly how the retailer will sell the console – in bespoke bundles, etc – but the confirmation is definite!
Will other retailers rival Walmart?
With such a well advertised Switch 2 restock, it is possible that other retailers may have worked hard in the background to secure stock to rival the massive retailer.
There is absolutely no guarantee of this, of course, and I say this out of pure hope rather than expectation – it just gives us another tiny, tiny reason to keep abreast of the other retailers while Walmart does its thing later…
Walmart restock advice
So, as well as signing up for Walmart+ to be in with a good chance of getting the console, there are some other things to do as well.
First, make sure your details are correct in your Walmart account, and then also ensure your payment details are up to date – this can really help expedite check out.
Second, make sure you use the right links to sit on and refresh. With resellers able to infiltrate Walmart’s listings, there’s no point risking ending up on the wrong product page – use the ones below instead!

Some stock for the UK – but there’s a catch
Are you with EE? If so, then you could snag yourself a Switch 2 right now by adding it to your existing phone or broadband contract.
The network is the only place in the UK where I’ve found stock immediately available, but it does require you to be an existing subscriber and be happy with the large bundle that’s on offer.
It includes the Nintendo Switch 2, a copy of Mario Kart World, a 12-month membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, and 24-month EE Gamer’s and Video Data Passes. To get that you need to pay £20 upfront and then £22 per month for the next two years.

Limited in-store stock at Target
Just had another browse around the US retailers and I’ve seen there’s some in-store Nintendo Switch 2 stock listed at Target. Not many stores are listed with stock and most that do show limited availability so it might be tough, but you could get lucky with a console bundle if it’s showing as available near you.

I thought I was past all this stock hunting shenanigans after the fun of PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks years ago, but I’m back at it again.
There hasn’t been a great deal of change since Rob’s update earlier today and we’re mainly still counting down to tonight’s Nintendo Switch 2 restock at Walmart. I’ve got an eye on other US retailers at the same time, as drops usually come in waves, but with Best Buy and GameStop going earlier in the week and other stores remaining quiet, I’m not expecting any more console drops today.

It’s also been in and out of stock recently, so definitely one to take advantage of if you’ve been eyeing it up!
What about the UK?
It’s been better in the UK since the Nintendo Switch launch but even then, at the time of this post, there are only pre-orders on stock available at a couple of retailers – because they themselves don’t have stock yet.
You can see the full picture with all the below retailers, but it’s not looking great today for UK shoppers.
What’s happening elsewhere?
Well, aside from US folks looking forward to the Walmart restock in about 13 hours time, the US stock situation has been dire. Really, really dire.
We’ve seen very occasional restocks online with Best Buy the last to do so, but that retailer, along with GameStop in particular has preferred to stock physical stores rather than the digital shelves, so if you didn’t have a local store nearby, then you were bang out of luck.
Elsewhere, Antonline’s relatively recent restock seems ages ago, Amazon has been unusually quiet, and Target hasn’t had anything for ages too. It really is a dark time at all of the retailers below.
Walmart+ members will get a one-hour head start
The catch on Walmart’s restock is that Walmart+ members will be able to have a one-hour head start compared to everyone else, with the hour of 9pm to 10pm ET reserved exclusively for members of Walmart+.
This means, given the history of previous restocks, I think you’ll almost certainly have to be a Walmart+ member to stand any chance of getting a Switch 2 today.
Luckily, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, which looks safe to gain you access to this Switch 2 restock – I remember in the PS5 shortage days that free trial members were still excluded, but thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the case here!
