Good afternoon! Roland Moore-Colyer here, Managing Editor of Deals at TechRadar ready to take you on a journey to score some great Amazon Prime Big Deal Days bargains before the day is over.
Ok so you’ve got around 7 hours left of Prime Day deals in the UK. So best get shopping.
Or to give the sale its proper name: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. That’s one clunky title but this sale is basically Prime Day 2, following on from the one in July.
The sale started yesterday (October 7) and is running today until midnight or 00:00 hours on October 9.
Now there’ll surely be some deals that hang around after the clock tick over into tomorrow but I reckon all the best ones will only be live today. This Is based on my extensive experience in covering deals at TechRadar and beyond.
Now Amazon Big Deal Days is/are a preamble to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which take place in November. But don’t dismiss this sales as its a good time to buy Amazon’s own products.
I’m talking Kindles, Ring, Fire and Echo devices. Kindles especially don’t get big discounts outside of Amazon’s on sales days.

I’ve yet to snap up any Amazon device deals myself, but a Kindle Colorsoft is somewhat tempting.
An Amazon Fire HD tablet also has some appeal but I have an iPad mini so don’t think I’ll snap one up. But for others looking for a cheap tablet it could be just the ticket.
What I am considering shaking out my wallet for is an air fryer. I’ve yet to jump on the air frying trend but seeing that some in this list are particularly well discounted, I’m tempted to consider snapping one up.
I’d say some of the home and kitchen appliances have had some of the most compelling discounts this Prime Day 2.
The knife block meets sharpener below from Ninja is one such example.
Given the Prime Day sales in July was four days long, you’d be forgiven for having a bit of deal fatigue. But this is why I think it’s good to look at products you might not normally consider; in my case kitchen ger versus my normal desire for tech.
It’s also a good time to snap up boring but much needed stuff like batteries. This Duracell deal is rather decent, all things considered.
If you want any deals buying advice, feel free to drop me a line on roland.moore-colyer@futurenet.com.
I’d also suggest checking out the Amazon Haul deals – these may not be filled with quality products, but a bit of sifting and you can find some bargains, especially with the Prime Day sale in full swing.
And do check out Amazon’s deals under £50, as there’s usually some good stuff in there.
As someone who’s lazy when it comes to wet shaving I’m tempted by this Philips electric razor…
One deal that I’d absolutely grab if I didn’t already have one is a discount iPad mini.
I love this compact tablet and basically don’t travel without it. Sure the discount isn’t huge but it’s fair for such a capable fondle slab of tech.
It’s gone 5:30pm, so I’m hoping that there are a suite of you readers on your way home for a bit of online retail therapy led by my recommendations.
Let me just have a sidebar thought: Xbox Game Pass is due for a price hike, so I think now is a good time to score access to the service while it’s still at a reasonable price.
How do you all feel about the Amazon deals? I reckon they are reasonable this year but I don’t feel there are any amazing standout bargains just yet.
Right I’m going to move from a bit of a stream of thought here to highlighting some of the best deals you can buy before the sales is over.
Read all about it – Kindle Colorsoft for a record-low price
As I mentioned earlier, a standout offer is this record-low price for the newest Kindle Colorsoft.
The bright and vibrant ereader is an excellent buy if you enjoy reading graphic novels, image-heavy books, or love to see your library in all its colourful glory. It doesn’t skimp on features elsewhere either, with a seven-inch display, eight weeks of battery life, and storage space for thousands of books.

Today’s best value TV deal
Now it’s a fairly basic TV, but if you just need a reasonably large display for streaming shows and films, then the value for money is undeniable on the Amazon 50-inch 4-Series 4K Fire TV.

As well as all the basic fitness, health and sleep tracking features, the Galaxy Fit3 is an excellent extension to your smartphone that lets you check your messages, control your music and navigate easily with simple gestures.
Everything centres around the impressive 1.6-inch AMOLED display and battery life is also not a problem with 13 days on a single charge. A true bargain at less than £40.

Limited time to get this saving on the Galaxy Watch 8
There was an early Prime Day deal on this Galaxy Smartwatch, but if you waited you can snag a much better bargain now that the sale has started properly. Though there’s not long left before it ends, so grab the discount while you can.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8: was £349 now £274 at Amazon
This OnePlus 13 deal gets my seal of approval

Grab the top Prime Big Deal Days TV bargains
There are a load of UK TV deals over at Amazon that I reckon you should take a look at if you’re in the market for a new telly, jsut be fast as these deals are sure to end very soon.
Take a look at our live coverage of the best Prime Day TVs deals today.
I’m not always one for regrets, but I am sad I missed yesterday’s deals on this Lego Game Boy. It just shows you have to be quick to get the best bargains.
I’ve also not purchased an air fryer yet…
So I might go have a peek at my own deals list here and see if any take my fancy.
Ok I’m very tempted by these two:
Might need to assess how much space I have in my small London flat kitchen! But I was close to pulling the trigger there.
Now this portable blender has got my attention…
Time is zipping by and there’s little more than 2 hours left before it’s game over for Amazon Big Deal Days.
So I probably need to get over my buying indecision! And you do too, if you’re on the fence with some deals.
Suck up this Shark vacuum Prime Day discount
I’ve not tried this Shark Stratos vacuum, but I believe TechRadar’s Homes team rate it highly. And at this discounted price, it’s hard to miss.
Shark Stratos Cordless Pet Pro: was £312.17 now £199.99 at Amazon
A good budget TV
If you want a new cheap and cheerful TV, then this Hisense is a solid buy for a good-sized budget TV, with 4K resolution support and access to all the top streaming apps.
Hisense E6Q 55-inch 4K TV: was £579 now £299 at Amazon
Blink and you’ll miss it
Smart home tech has been very popular over Prime Big Deal Days, and it’s easy to see why, when you can get a handy and capable video doorbell for as little as this.
You get stung a little by needing a Blink Subscription Plan to get the most features, but that’s only £2.50 per month.
Blink Video Doorbell: was £59.99 now £35.99 at Amazon
The best PC SSD storage deal I’ve seen
Want to upgrade your PC? Then take advantage of Prime Day to start gathering some pieces together – including this 2TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus M.2 SSD.
It’s a great price for a solid amount of speedy storage, and at almost 75% sold so far, it’s proving popular with shoppers already. I’d act fast if you want to score one for yourself, too.
Samsung 990 Evo Plus 2TB M.2 SSD: was £126.59 now £93.99 at Amazon
Another chance to grab the latest iPad for a record-low price
The latest Apple iPad A16 was down to this very same record-low price in this first Prime Day sale, so if you missed it back in July, here’s another chance to score a £45 saving.
This is a terrific entry-level tablet and excellent value for money if you need a general everyday slate for web browsing, admin tasks, watching videos and doing some light gaming.
iPad A16: was £329 now £284 at Amazon
Less than two hours to go… I hope you’re getting the deals you want.
Feel the Force of this deal
Lego fans rejoice, as you can now get one of the largest and most complicated Lego Star Wars sets for less.
The long-standing Lego Millennium Falcon Ultimate Collector Series Edition is down to just £550.90, representing a 25% discount off the £734.99 RRP.
Ok, you have less than an hour before the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale is officially over!
The AirPods deal is still live
Here’s a deal I was expecting to sell out fairly quickly this Prime Day, but it’s still live into day two. It’s a return to the record-low price for the latest Apple AirPods, which is a rare find indeed. Chances are this will be back (and potentially slightly cheaper) during Black Friday, but now is a good time to buy if you don’t want to wait until then.
Apple AirPods 4: was £169 now £149 at Amazon
The best kitchen gadget you can buy for under £10
There’s nothing worse (and more dangerous) than a dull knife. This handy little gadget has lived inside my kitchen drawer for a couple of years now and has proved itself incredibly useful time and time again to keep my knives sharp. It’s easy to use, works brilliantly well and costs less than a tenner – bargain.
AnySharp Knife Sharpener: was £12.49 now £6.98 at Amazon
Fast fashion
Not one of TechRadar’s normal beats, but it’s worth flagging that Amazon has a suite of clothing deals form as little as £7.
This could be a great time to snap up a warm jumper or trousers ready for the colder nights and weather.
Check out: Amazon clothing deals from £7
Here’s the best value laptop deal
With many of us potentially searching for a new device with Windows 10 end of life on the horizon, I’ve spotted what I think just might be the best value laptop deal on Amazon right now. Why’s this deal so good? Well, for a start, at just under £350, you get an excellent 14-inch laptop with very good specs for the price. It’s great seeing 16GB of RAM on such a cheap laptop, and the roomy 512GB SSD gives you plenty of space to store your files. This really is incredible value for money.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3: was £499.99 now £329.99 at Amazon
My top pick for the best earbuds deal in the sale
Sony earbuds are always popular during sales events, and this offer on the Sony WF-C700N is a real standout. These buds offer excellent audio quality, strong noise-cancellation, a comfy fit and impressive battery life – all for the fantastic low price of £55.
Sony WF-C700N: was £99 now £55 at Amazon
Less than 5 minutes before the sale is over!
And now a classic Prime Day basket filler
Amazon’s devices always drop to record or near-record low prices during Prime Day sales, so it’s no surprise to see the Fire TV Stick reduced to below £30.
As the name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K lets you watch content in 4K if you have a compatible TV, with easy access to all the major streaming apps and Alexa voice controls. It’s a cheap and handy upgrade if you’d prefer an upgrade over your TV’s current OS.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: was £59.99 now £25.99 at Amazon
10…
5…
And that’s it: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is over in the UK.
Expect a lot of deals to now suddenly end, though some might still remain active or settle at a new low price.
Your next big chance for deals will be in the run up to Black Friday in November.
And so it’s goodnight from me, Roland Moore-Colyer. I hope you scored a great deal today. Farewell!
